Manny MUA is a really famous make-up genius (hence the “MUA” in the name, it means make-up artist). He goes by that name on social media, but his true name is Manuel Gutierezz.
He owns a widely known YouTube channel that goes by the name “MannyMua733”.
Manny got famous through his social media accounts and was extremely popular for a while. Currently, he is in a bad place due to his controversy with Laura Lee and Jeffree Star, both famous makeup artists.

Early years

Manny has two younger brothers and he was raised in a very religious, Mormon family. He always respected his religion and understood his family.
Although his family loved him very much, they were so religious that when Manny told them he was gay they sent him to therapy because his parents thought he could be cured. They saw his sexuality as a sin.
Manny was having this therapy for 6 months and it didn’t go as his parents planned. It only did the opposite, it made Manny depressed because of his so-called “treatment”
Manny didn’t really have an issue with his sexuality, but he was devastated that his family to whom he was so close to couldn’t accept him as he is.
Manny was always intrigued by the human body and his first wish was to go to medical school and be a plastic surgeon. It was his dream job.
Manny finished San Diego State University and entered premedical school because of his family. He dropped out of it because he didn’t find it fitting for him.
Career development
Manny was always really intrigued by the concept of makeup and spent a lot of time watching his mother put it on and make herself feel pretty and confident.
After he realized how much makeup can change a person and hide their flaws he started doing it on himself. Although he was okay with his sexuality, he didn’t want to show his passion for makeup to his family and the public.
One of Manny’s first jobs ever was in big cosmetics stores like MAC and Sephora. He always wanted to work in such stores so he did as soon as he could.
Although he loved to work at those places he wasn’t really happy with his positions there, he was always an assistant and consultant but he wanted more. He decided to open his YouTube channel to show off his skills in makeup.
While he was working he met an Instagram star Patrick Simondac also known as Patrick Starr. He had a really big platform at the time and wanted to help Manny.
Patrick gave him support on social media so he could start his career as a makeup artist. Manny gained most of his early subscribers due to Patrick.

Manny posts various videos on his channel. He posts tutorials regarding how to wear makeup and different styles and what works best for him. He also posts a lot of product reviews so his viewers can see if the product’s worth it. He also posted a lot of collaboration videos with fellow YouTube stars like Gabriel Zamora and Laura Lee.
Because of his growth in popularity, Manny advertised many companies like Jeffree Star Cosmetics and Ofra Cosmetics. Soon, other brands wanted to get Manny to review their stuff so they can reach his wide audience and improve their sales.
Manny made a huge collaboration with a YouTube star Jaclyn Hill regarding her new products. It brought both of them a lot of followers. The collaboration was titled “New Jaclyn Hill Morphe Palette – Tutorial & My Opinion”.

Manny was also in a feud with Black Moon Cosmetics because they accused him of using their logo (moon shaped logo) that Manny used to promote his products.

Manny is the oldest of three brothers. His brother sometimes appears on his videos. They still aren’t completely accepted his sexual orientation but they are trying to support him.
