Dana Loesch is a known conservative activist and an author who gained attention mostly through her work with NRA or National Rifle Association. She also works as a commentator and a radio host. It is widely known as a great supporter of President Donald Trump. She is called The Second Amendment Defender.

Early years 

She was born as Dana Lynn Eaton on September 28, 1978 in a small place called Hematite, south of St.Louis,  Missouri in United States.

She grew up in a single parent family and was raised only by her loving mother Gale, who was a member of Southern Baptists congregation. They moved to a town Festus nearby because her mother had to work on three jobs to keep the family fed and out of debt.

Her ancestors came from Cherokee tribe from her mother’s side and from Ireland on her father’s side.

As a kid, she loved to go to Annapolis to visit her grandparents. She often went deer hunting with her grandfather.

Dana attended a high school named Fox High School which was located in a city named Arnold in Missouri.

After graduating, she has decided to enroll the St. Louis Community College but later she transferred to Webster University because she has developed an interest in journalism and managed to gain a scholarship in the matter.

During her college education, she was highly politically involved in the campaign for reelection of Bill Clinton.

Her support of Democrats and their political views completely stooped after the scandala involving the President Bill Clinton and Monika Lewinsky and she became their oponent after the 9/11 attack.

These two events made her change sides and she left Democrates to join the conservative party.

She left college after she became pregnant and got married so she needed to find a job to earn money.

She got married to a highly conservative person, a preacher’s son and a musician Chris, which changed her opinion to extreme conservativism.

Career development 

Being asked if she carries a gun she said that she always wanted to feel safe so she keeps a weapon near her bed. She also says that she has other weapons placed around the house, and that she often has a knife in her hand purse, just in case.

Dana tattooed her forearm with Bible sentence which calls Christian people to be under holy armor to defend themselves from the darkness of the world. It is a quote from The Book of Ephesians.

She started as a writer for a magazine in St. Louis and created her own website titled “Mamalogues”.

Her “Mamalogues” became a very well liked online column which she released for 2 years and she even gained a prize as the “Best Newspaper Columnist St. Louis” in 2007.

In 2008, she was hired to run her own radio show called “The Dana Show: The Conservative Alternative” and it was aired on Radio America on a daily basis. The show had excellent ratings and she soon became a big influence on mothers.

The popularity of her show brought attention on her and she was soon found on the Top 30 list of St. Louis Business Journal. She was very young to reach this list and was amongst the fastest who did it.

In 2010, Dana became an editor of a high profiled conservative website which was owned by Andrew Breitbart. He was also a known conservative political commentator who died early, at the age of 42.

One year later, she was hired by the CNN as their new political analyst who will cover the 2012 election.

She was one of the founders of the “St. Louis Tea Party” in 2009 but left the organization in 2011.

Dana was hired to be a host at one of the most popular conservative event in 2013: The Conservative Political Action Conference.

She raised a lot of controversy after she defended the US Marine trups who urinated on dead Taliban soldiers.

In 2012, after Andrew Breitbart died of heart failure, she sued Breitbart’s company for hostility and left her workplace. She settled out of court.

In 2013, she got involved in a fued with Piers Morgan over Twitter which led to her leaving the show on Pier’s demand. Later she returned after both of them were asked by the producers to settle their differences.

In 2014, she began hosting her own show, simply called “Dana” which was aired on TheBlaze TV. She left the show in 2017.

In 2016, she was involved in the Republican Presidental Campaign and she supported Ted Cruz.

Today, it is known that she is a great supporter of Donald Trump and a big defender of his anti-immigrant politics.

In 2017, she became the spokeperson for the National Rifle Association (NRA).

In autumn 2018, she has risen controversy after she stated that the police killing of Philando Castille in 2016 was justified. In 2000, Dana has married her boyfriend Chris and he became her manager.

Although she was a young democrat, she soon changed her views under the influence of her conservative husband.

2018 was particularly hard for her on her workplace as NRA spokeswoman because NRA was under the biggest attacks in latest history. The campaign against NRA is led by students, activists and politicians after the Florida school shooting and the death of 17 people.

It is her job to defend the NRA politics and try to persuade people that NRA is not a lobbying group for various guns manufacturers.

In spring 2018 she was a guest on CNN where she said a few controversial stations such as that the TV stations are partially guilty for mass shootings because they make sensational coverage on such events so persons who are guilty of it enjoy being in the center.

She is an author of two books. Her first book was titled “Hands Off My Gun: Defeating the Plot to Disarm America”, and was published in 2014, while her next book came out in 2016 under the name “Flyover Nation: You Can’t Run a Country You’ve Never Been To”.

She is very good in handling social media and she often gets into altercations over Twitter and Facebook.
