Witney Carson is a very sofisticated  professional ballroom and Latin dancer from the United States.

She is also an actress and a dance choreographer who brought attention at her after her appearance in “Dancing with the Stars” TV show.

Early years

Witney Carson was born as Witney Capri Carson on October 17, 1993  in American Fork, Utah, United States. Her parents Tyler land Jill has raised het into a great individual, supporting her love for dancing.

She grew up in a happy household with two younger brothers and one younger sister. Their names are Jaxon and Cade and the sister is Camry. They all got along really great and they are still their big supporters.

She was a student at American Fork High School in her hometown after which the school gained it’s name. After finishing high school and graduating from it, she has decided to enroll the Utah Valley University.

Witney was only three years old when her parents realized that she was a great fan of music and dancing. She used to move to music from the TV and hum melodies while stepping with her shoes.

They enrolled her into training schools where she learned to dance in various styles from hip-hop dance to ballet and ballroom dance. She was a pupil at the Center Stage Performing Arts Studio from her early age.

After the studio was shut down she chose to continue her training with her mentor Rick Robinson so she moved to his “VIBE Dance Studio”.

Career development

The first time she caught the eye of the public was when she was 18 and came to audition for a TV show named “So You Think You Can Dance”.

She was always very ambitious and this was a great chance for her to show how skilled she was in dancing.

She trained very hard for this competetion knowing that this might be her once in a lifetime chance. After a short period of time she has successfully came to the Top 20 contestors.

Her partners in the show were Marko Germar, Stephen Boss and Nick Lazzarini. She was eliminated before going to the finals. Her performance was one of the most surprising in that 9th season and the public loved her.

The 10th season of the same show brought her back on TV, this time with two new partners: Paul Karmiryan and Stegall.

After her successful debut performance in this show, she was invited to present herself in one even more popular dance TV show titled: ” Dancing with the stars”.

In spring 2013 she became one of the  troupe dancers on that show and she coreographed their performances. Choreography is something she has enjoyed very much and was very creative at it.

By doing a great job, both as a dancer and a choreographer, the show finally promoted her to a professional dancer.

After that event, she became one of the leading dancers of the show, dancing with famous partners such as Cody Simpson and Alfonso Ribeiro.

She was very proud of herself  when she has found out that she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography the same year.

Due to her impressive skills she was given a role in a movie titled “Dancin’ It’s On!”.It was released in 2015 and she played a character named Jennifer in it.

As for her income, she has regular payments from her endorsement companies, the biggest one is Pepsi. She also hosts a lot of events and gets paid for dancing at them.

Personal life

In 2015, she positivelly surprised her fans by announcing that she will become engaged to her boyfriend and the love of her life.

It was a man she dated for four years and the two of them got married in 2016. His name is Carson MacAllister.

She made lot of friends during her time on the dance show so she had a lot of friends from the show on her wedding ceremony in Salt Lake City.

Jenna Johnson and Emma Slater both came to the wedding. The two of them were bridesmaids alongside Brittany Cherry. They were her friends and contestors from “Dancing with the Stars” show.

She spoke about her traumatic experience with illness in an interview to a magazine.

She stated that she noticed a weird mole on her foot at the beginning of “Dancing With the Stars” and found out it was a melanoma. It was a scary experience for her, and she feared that it would harm her dancing ambitions since it was found on her foot.

She had a removal surgery and was soonn feeling better. She explains that the most significant part of her struggle with the disease was a struggle with herself.

Since the time her illness attacked her she has become a very active philanthropist. She realized that she can help other people with advices and comfort the same way others helped her.

She has joined The Skin Cancer Foundation, which helped her while she struggled with her disease.

Today she shares her experience with melanoma and raises awereness about this disease.

She is often called Wit by her friends and they say that it is not just short for her name but it means that she ihas a witty character.

She is Mormon by religion but isn’t radical. She works out every day to keep her good condition. She especially likes kickboxing and pilates.

She knows how to play the guitar and drumms so she keeps it as her hoby and relaxation. Whitney  is very good at playing golf.

Witney likes dogs so she has one as a pet. She has an irrational fear of crickets.
