Michael Seander is a known American hip hop artist mostly referred by his stage name „Mike Stud“ but also a great baseball player which was his No.1 career choice which he had to put aside because of his injury.
Mike became extremely popular for his hit single called „College Humor“ that went viral and soon reached every corner of the country.
He recorded this single on GarageBand while he was a student at Duke University but it was made just as a joke and he never thought it was gonna become a hit.
Mike was born on October 30, 1988 in a town named Cranston, Rhode Island, United States by his full name Michael Francis Seander. His parents are Michael and Mary Seander who are very proud of the success his son garnered. They have a wonderful connection.
Michael has a sister named Marisa and she is his biggest fan. They are very supportive to each other and share a tight bond.
Mike was a student at St. Raphael Academy located in Rhode Island and he was good at learning new things. 2006 was his last year there and it was the year of his graduation. He liked to prove people how he can achieve many different things in life and therefore he always adoired to succeed.
Because of his height (he was over 6 feet) he was one of the best baseball and basketball players. He always gave 100% at trainings and was a very good teammate. He got named as the Rhode Island’s Gatorade Player of the Year back in 2008. Because of this title he got a scholarship to Duke University.
Michael’s team landed on the second place and they received all-state honors in basketball which was a tremendous success for them.
When he was a senior in his highschool he broke down several records and was even named as the Player of the Year and the Gatorade Player of the Year in the whole region of Rhode Island.
He was offered to go to Harvard but he has chosen another university because he wanted to play baseball in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
After Mike graduated, he started attendeding Duke University located in Durhman in the state of North Carolina so he could play baseball there. He was a great team’s asset.
He was one of the best stoppers in college and he managed to collect the second most saves in the history of the school.
When season ended Mike was named to the Louisville Sluger and also Rivals.com Freshmen All-American teens.
In 2007 Mike has spent his summer as the closer in NECBL for Newport Gulls. It is shorten for New England Collegiate Baseball League, and this league was created in 1993 and it consists of 13 teams.
In his sophomore season Michael hurt his arm. This issues and the injury on his elbow required him to get a Tommy John surgery. It is a surgery which is very common amongst baseball players
He missed the 2009 season due to his arm injury but after the season he graduated from Duke University.
He spent his final year of college in Georgetown University located in the capital of the U.S.A., Washington, D.C.
There he played nine games for the Hoyas in as a senior and he earned his graduate degree in sports management.
While he was recovering from his arm surgery, Michael started getting into music because he had to do something while not playing basketball.
Michael released his music video for a track „College Humor“ in December, 2010 and it was a big success for him.
He stated that he made this song as a joke to show off in front of his fellow baseball teammates and to do something so he won’t be bored. The video got to 2.2 million views until now and is still popular.
He releases all his music videos and songs on his YouTube channel called “MikeStudMusic”.
In March next year, on the wings of popularity, Michael released another song, but this time it was a collaboration with West Coast rapper called Alex Lagemann. The track was called „In This Life“.
Michael released his first mixtape „A Toast to Tommy“ in October, 2011 and it contained 3 tracks. The album has reached Top 3 or Top 4 on the charts. In August the same year he released his second mixtape „Click“. It was a collaboration with a hip-hop artist Huey Mack.
Michael released his first studio album called „Relief“ in spring 2013. He was already recognizable everywhere so his track gained a lot of attention. It came even to No.1 on the hip hop chart.
Michael released his second album only a year later. It is called „Closer“ and it was released in July, 2014.
He released his mini-album that containes only 8 songs called „This Isn’t The Album“ on October 30th, 2015. It was a kind of a mix of some old singles and some new tracks put together.
He then released his third studio album called „These Days“. It contains features from a Toronto Blue Jays and Duke teammates.
Michael was a host on a TV show titled „This is Mike Stud“ that was on the Esquire Network. The show was all about his Back2YouTour where he was followed by the camera wherever he went.
„This is Mike Stud“ was aired for the first time in the summer of 2016. This was one of his favorite things to create and he enjoyed meeting people.
Michael was featured on a song called „To the Grave“ by an American female musician Bea Miller. This track was in her EP „Chapter Three: Yellow“ and also on her studio album called „Aurora“. In summer 2018 he has released his new single titled “Win”.
His good friend is Marcus Stroman, who is also a baseball player and a rapper. He is known for his chest tattoo which says “Height Doesn’t Measure Heart”.
The two of them met while Mike was on Duke and Marcus came as a new player. Mike took him under his wing and helped him join the team.
They were both fans of hip hop and they started freestyling together and recording it on Mike’s MacBook. Mike did it more often in the period he was recovering from his surgery.
Michael is in a relationship with Josie Marie Canseco, a model whose father is a former baseball slugger Jose Canseco.
Michael made her the star of the video of his single “Anyone Else” which was released in 2016.
Mike Stud has over 100k followers on his Instagram channel but his girlfriend Josie has twice as much because she is so beautiful and irresistible.
Mike loves all models of cars but he loves SUV’s more than others. He would like to have more of them in the future, but he plans on making more gifts too.
