Ashley Everett is a very popular and talented American dancer whose talent was recognized by many music stars and later on film producers too who gave her acting roles. The main artists she works with are Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Usher.

Early life
She was born as Ashley Chrisha Marie Everett on April 19, 1989 in a town Chico, in Butte County in California, United States. Her mother is of African American descent and her father is caucasian.
Since Chico is mostly settled by caucasian people, Ashley didn’t quite fit there. But she also felt that she didn’t fit into Chico’s African American community either.
She always felt that dancing was her true calling and from a very early age she was mostly focused on it. She started dancing when she was three and her mother first send her at ballet and tap classes.
She was a quick learner and soon her parents knew that she was a naturally talented in dancing. She relocated to New York City where her career kicked off by her engagement at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater. She was a great dancer and wasn’t even 18 years old.
Career development
The faith was that she has met Frank Gatson Jr. there, who was Beyonce’s coreographer and he noticed her skills. He ultimately gave her that job.
In 2008, Ashley performed at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, again as Beyoncé’s companion.
She was also hired for a single “Love in This Club” made by Usher and started working for him on a regular basis.
She was a student at Juiliard School for dancing but her career was advancing without it.
Ashley became a very good dancer due to the fact that she trained all kind of dance styles as a child: from ballet to tap and hip hop.
In 2007, she was one of the lucky dancers who were hired at an audition for Beyoncé, who was getting ready for her tour.
She dropped out of school after she was given a chance to follow Beyonce on her “The Beyoncé Experience Tour”. This was in 2007 and Ashley was only 17 years old.
In 2009 she has become one of the youngest dance captains and continued working for Beyonce.
She joined Beyoncé on her every big concert tour, she was hired in many TV commercials, and was a part of the crew for dozens of Beyonce’s video.
As she became more and more popular, she started working with a lot of other musicians and in 2015 she became an actress. She joined “Hit The Floor” series which was aired on VH1.
In 2008, she became widely known for her role in Beyonce’s music video for a song named “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”. This became a huge hit on YouTube and TV stations across the world, especially praised for the coreography in the video.
The video was also noticed because there were only three dancers in it: Beyonce, Ashley and Ebony Williams.
This single was a great success and has won the MTV Video Music Award for Video of the Year.
In 2013, she received great honor after Beyonce invited Ashley to join her at Super Bowl Show in 2013 and 2016.
The thing what made Ashley different from other dancers other than her great talent was her red afro hairstyle. Later she discovered that Beyonce recommended her to dye her hair red.
She has joined Beyoncé, at her ” I Am… World Tour” in 2009 which was an adventure of lifetime for her. 2010 brought her a new collaboration with Ne-Yo.
She was auditioned as one of the dancers in the 4th season of “Glee”. Afterwards she was invited to act in one of the episodes again.
She became the lead captain of every Beyonce’s tour and video, even for Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s “On the Run Tour” in 2014. She has followed Usher on his “The UR Experience Tour” in 2014.
As for her acting career it was in small roles: Everett was featured in “Hit the Floor”, “Shake It Up” and in Beyoncé’s video for “Heaven”.
Personal life
Her biggest dance role model is Janet Jackson whom she is inspired with. She loves Michael Jackson and his moves and Justin Timberlake is also her favorite dancer.
She always admired the Jackson’s because they were so talented in dancing and singing.
Today she lives in Tampa in Florida, United States but is going to move in with her future husband in their new home very soon.
She has over half a million followers on her Instagram channel where she is very active.
She is in a firm relationship with John Silver, who is also a professional dancer but also a coreographer.
He proposed to her in 2016, live at The Formation World Tour in which she performed and his proposal became viral.
Of course, Beyonce, who worked with John earlier, knew all about it and helped him in staging the propsal. They met each other for the first time when they both worked for Ne-Yo. They worked together but John later couldn’t forget Ashley.
Ne-Yo helped them get together by inviting Ashley to Miami but it was really a stunt to pull John and Ashley together.
It wasn’t a problem for Ne-Yo since John was his friend and a favorite coreographer.
It was really an invitation to John’s birthday where he wanted to approach Ashley.
The happy couple is going to be married very soon, in September 2018. They have announced it on a website The Knot.
It is presumable that a lot of celebrities will come to their wedding and that Ne-Yo will sing at their wedding since he is a very close friend of John’s.
It seems that Ashley’s big dreams came true: she became the dancing star she always wanted to be and has found the love of her life.
